Fraud Institute

Dear Sir. madam

I have taken correspondence civil engg course as per my friends advice in Feb and I pay the course fee Rs 15500 (Rs 5000 in cash and Balance Rs 10500 by cheque) still now I have not received any study material or any thing from this institution. And I have contacted the institute in earlier days they are telling that we don't have stocks of books & we will send the books once we receive the books from our head office I tried almost 3-4 Months and I got transfer to Hyderbad and after 1 or 2 months later I called the institute they are closed the center.

Still Now I will not receive my money or my study materials

Please advise any legal step shall I take on this fraud institution
