Myself Nisreen Husain is a post graduate student of Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University Ahmedabad. I am GATE qualified student of the yr. 2007. In July I took admission for PG in CEPT University on the basis of my GATE score and with the assurance of getting the GATE scholarship of Rs. 8000 per month. this year in April I have completed my course of 2 yrs. Till date I have not received my GATE stipend. when asked to the college authorities, response i got was that they have not received any funds for the scholarship from AICTE hence cannot give to students. On our very insistence, college made a loan arrangement and paid us one year scholarship. But still remaining one year scholarship is pending and now college cannot provide us.
So i kindly request you to please look in the this matter at your earliest as many students dream of post graduation only on the basis of availability of such scholarships. please grant us the money which is rightfully ours.
