I would like to share my horrible experience with Big Bazaar – Jayanagar 9th Block.
Below mentioned are the 2 instance which has force me to write this email to you.

Instance 1 –
Purchase of Samsung LCD 32 inchs
Bill No. T15/13433
Bill Date. 5/4
Delivery Date . 5/ 12/ 2011
I can classify the issues in 3 step,
1. Before purchase,
2. Delivery,
3. Offer with product
1. Before purchase – I had requested for the quote for the above product as the product is company asset and the funded by my Co. It took me 3 weeks to get the Quote and submit it to my company. Rohit from your electronics dept assured me I would be sending the Quotation via email on 8 Feb. But even after numerous calls to his mobile and landline I didn’t not receive the quotation, finally I had to reach out the store manager and escalate the matter and finally I received the quote on 24 April for the request raised on 3 Mar.
2. Delivery – As I had given the company cheque for payment. However it took near about 2 weeks to get the delivery. I was told that LCD will be delivered 2 to 3 working days after the cheque is cleared. I had to follow with Rohit again where I dint get any response. He was not aware if the cheque was cleared also. I had to follow up with my Co. Finance team and reach out to Rohit saying the cheque was cleared pls deliver the LCD. After many call to rohit and bigabazaar I got it delivered on 12 May.
3. Offer with product – This was frustrating part of the entire story. I was promised I would be getting Aritel DTH activation kit (cost 550 or 750) with 2 months free. I received the kit along with delivery of LCD however when I called up Aritel to get it activated I was told by Airtel the offer doesn’t exist. I reached out to Rohit again .. I was surprised to hear that he was not at all aware the offer had closed couple of months back. It took a week for Rohit to get back to me, moreover it was me who was calling an following with him. Then I was offered Dish TV DTH which was taking 2 to 3 weeks to get delivered. Now the activation kit I got the number was inactive. I again reached out to Rohit but the frustrating part was the guy never picked up the call. And I had to escalate to store manager – Kartikeyan. Again after waiting for 4 weeks I was asked to come to Big Bazzar to collect the DTH Kit now the issues was I was offer DTH which was double time cost. When I rejected to accept it I was offer Dish TV DTH at the cost 999/-. I really didn’t understand how it was an offer to me. Since, the DTH costed the same out in the market and even at big bazaar. Then what was the difference in buying a LCD and getting the offer. Again I reached out Kartikeyan – Store Manager as Rohit was not ready to understand what I was telling and he was very much irritating and ignoring. However, reaching Karthikeyan was also not that fruit ful as he only had one statement “ check with Rohit, if he says it’s the final offer I cannot help”.
Now I have lost all hopes and told Rohit and Karthikeyan that I am frustrated following up and do not need such offer.
I would like to highlight that just of making the sales these people just give fake offer without realizing the people like me would be the final sufferer.
Instance 1 –
Purchase of Spring Mattress.
Delivery Challan – 137 dates 30/6
Still awaiting for delivery of the Mattress booked on 30 June. Got wrong size delivered since the store guy interoperated wrong size. I have rejected the wrong delivery.
However I am still following with Vekat from Jayanagar Branch every day but not proper response.
This will be last purchase for Big Bazaar and as an HR for the company I have highlighted my company and employee to minimize the transaction with Big Bazaar.
