Regarding Cover and Software problem

I am having Blackberry curve 8520 which i have purchased last year. Withing a year its rubber cover is crumbled and i have lost navigation buttens. Is there any other option other than replacing the whole body. Also my mobile is becoming hang at any time... some error it is showing.

Please help me in this regard.
