I bought your Carrier 1.0 T D/COOL PLUS split Air Conditioner from your dealer Kings Electronics Pvt Ltd, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai vide Invoice Cum Challan No KH/AC39? 09-10 dated 21 August.
The very reason for going for the Carrier brand was that it is an esteemed, pioneering brand. However, my experience so far has been horrible and the initial trust has been completely belied. The air conditioner has never given effective cooling, therefore, it has hardly been used any time so far. It has been attended by the dealer's maintenance staff at least ten times in the last 20 months but of no avail! The gas has been refilled thrice in this period! The mechanics, who have attended in the past have blamed leakages, other installation mistakes etc.
The surprising part is every time a mechanic comes he charges Rs 550 and does not give any receipt or visit report with diagnosis of the problem. Last time it has been attended by one Vishnu (Mobile No 8291113112) on 12 April presumably of Kings Electronics although the complaint was lodged at your Carrier Service Center (TN 1800 30 111111). He has not reported any problem in writing although he verbally advised us to get the leakage from the flare plugged and get the gas charged at a cost of Rs 3000.
May I request them to send an engineer (not a mechanic from the Kings Electronics, please!) urgently to examine the unit and advise appropriately? The unit has hardly run for 100 hours since installation. Our request to change the unit has not been heeded in the past by the dealer, however, I would seriously urge you to do so.
I only hope the corporate headquarter of the Carrier will act quickly to resolve the issue.
