I had purchased LG Fully Automatic Washing Machine- Turbo Drum -Top Loading on 30.10.2010 vide bill no.11221010916 date 03.11.2010 for Rs.15000/- through M/s Viveks Electronics, Mylapore, Chennai - 600 004.
The technician came from LG after purchase and performed a demo.
Afterwards, I/we could not use the machine till disposal of existing washing machine.
During the end of Dec when we tried to operate the machine, we found that the dryer is not functioning and called the Toll free number 18001809999 on 03.01.2011 and 04.01.2011 to rectify the same along with e-mail complaint.
The company has promised to rectify the problem within short time but they responded only after 9 days i.e, 12.01.2011 and 13.01.2011.
During the course, we had requested the company to rectify the same or otherwise replace the machine, having supplied the faulty one. But the company's representative through phone behaved arrogantly and refused to do the needful.
Subsequently, the technician of the company Shri Senthil & Shri Sukumar who has visited and verified the machine informed that basically the fault is of manufacture one and they cannot rectify the same.
Having purchased the new washing machine, we are unable to use the same and the product is not worth for having paid the money to the company.
As the company neither rectifying the problem nor replacing the machine, I hereby want to lodge a complaint against the company i.e, LG Electronics Ltd and their suppliers M/s Vivek & Co for having handed over the faulty machine.
The company either should replace the present faulty washing machine with full guarantee or otherwise the amount paid for the machine with interest and along with compensation for the difficulty faced by me on account of having faulty machine to the tune of Rs. 50, 000/- at the earliest.
