BAD BATTERY, Manufacturing Defect

DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.

I purchased Nokia E63 on 7/12, found the battery was faulty with a manufacturing defect, Got the same checked from Nokia care Dombivli east, for authenticity, and logged a complaint on 11/12 with nokia care,

Instead of replacing the faulty part, or giving me a stand by phone, They took the handset and called me on 27/12.

Nokia care guys asked me to buy a new battery, if the old one is faulty, So i am asking where is the Garantee or Warantee, Is it for 11 days from the date of purchase?

The Retailer from where i got the handset pointed me to nokia care, on 9/12.
