Food stalls at Stadium and Malls
Charging more then MRP

I had been at Wankhede Stadium on 7May to watch the Mumbai Indians IPL match. For security reason, nothing was allowed to be taken inside the stadium premises, even a bottle of water wasn't permitted. Considering the security fact, it's fine, but at the same time there wasn't any arrangement made inside the stadium of drinking water by the authorities. Moreover, a packed drinking water bootle, whose MRP is Rs 15, is sold at Rs 50 each. Would like to know isn't is illegal to sell a commodity at higher price then the MRP mentioned on the commodity? Also, other food items are also sold the higher prices then the MRP. Can a legal action be taken against such vendors who take due advantage of the situation and over charge. Same over charging of food and soft drinks is also seen at Cinema halls and Malls. Is it legal for these vendors to charge more then the MRP?
