I bought a bedroom set from Hometown marathalli on 13th Dec'09. I got the delivery very next day but the fitter was not available till 17th Dec'09. To add to the horror, there were parts mismatching for the wardrope. Complaint was given to the customer care on 14th itself but when I inquired the next day about status, I was told that no complaint was given. After explaining the problem again and the customer care person speaking to the fitter a complaint was loged.
Somebody from Hometown called me to inform that it will take 5 days to replace the parts.
After 5 days when I called, i had to explain the complete problem again and I was told that it will take 3 more days. A lady from hometown called to inform that the delivery will be done max in 3 days. Again after 3 days no update and after calling them I was informed that approval to get new parts was not yet taken. I was provided contact number of delivey manager, who's phone is always busy. Luckly when I got a chance to talk to him, he acted as if he is not aware of the problem. Intrestingly the customer care guy spoke to him just few minutes back and was asking what he should reply me.
After telling the whole story again, he gave a reason to be busy and said will came me back in 10 mins which never happened. Same happened today morning when my husband called the delivery manager, he promised to call back in 5 mins with some update but no phone calls.
It seems like no one in Hometown cares about customer's pain. Wardrope parts are lying all around my house and I am waiting for Hometown to replace the wrong parts. I am not sure when I will get a fitter after the replacement. I am tired of calling then almost everyday and yet dont have any answer to my problem. I will not recommend anyone to buy anything from Hometown.
