My parents have a health insurance policy with Heritage Health TPA Pvt. Ltd. They have held this policy for atleast 10 years and pay a very high premium every year. (Approx. Rs. 65, 000 per year.) The Insurance was acquired through United India Insurance Company.
My Mother had to be admitted to the hospital to have some work done on her knee for which she made a claim. It has been more than a year since this happened and yet the only thing they both get in the mail are more queries each day and often repeated requests for the same document.
A year ago my Father was admitted in the hospital for heart surgery. He has yet to see the money he has claimed for the same.
My parents are both aged and are so frustrated with the situation that they have even refused to forfiet their claim. (Which is exactly what this Insurance agency wants!!).
It is such a pity that inspite of the hefty premium, the aged of our country have to be put through such aggravation and eventual disappointment. My siblings and I have been helping out with this to the best of our capabilities but continue to remain unsuccessful.
I am now at a point where I am willing to hire a lawyer to help us deal with this. Unfortunately the lawyer will himself charge us another hefty fee.
If this complaint form reaches the right people I urge them to look into the working of their system which I find extemely corrupt, inefficient and merciless.
