Very slow speed

I have baught a bsnl 3g SIM for my black berry storm 9520 set. with this set, net has been connect easilly but there is very slow speed.it is very difficult to open any website. how can i know that i m connected with 3g or gprs. how can i send vedio call or watch TV.
