I have taken Hathway Broadband (cust id 773236) which started on 12 July. The plan was of 512 kbps. So, the download speed should be around 45-55 kBps. But, the speed I get is around 6-10 kBps, and sometimes it is about 20-30 kBps. Only in the mornings and late nights I get good speed of 40-50 kBps. Nowadays even opening www.google.com takes about 5-6 seconds.
To test, I started downloading a file and at the same time told my friend who is using 512 kbps of other company to download the same file. He was getting speed of 50kBps, while I was getting speed of only 4.1 kBps.
As of now, I am not able to open speedtest.net to attach the pathetic speed screenshot herewith.
When I complained about this to the company, their engineer came to my place, changed the DNS settings and went back saying that everything is OK. Even though I kept complaining, there is no action taken on the same.
I have also copied the escalation email ID [email protected], but still there is no response.
Also, my plan was told that it would be 512 kbps, but later I came to know that it is a 1:2 plan, which means that the download speed would be 512 kbps, but upload speed would be 256 kbps. This was not mentioned in the letter I got from the company at the time of payment, or even not mentioned in their website, or even the sales executive didn't tell me.
