I was referred to 20North.com by a friend of mine. I was quite happy that a lot of products could be bought from India, albeit at a slightly higher price. I placed an order for 3 items - a set of replacement heads for my Oral B electronic toothbrush, a Plantronics headset and some cleaner cartridges for my Braun shaver - a total of roughly 200 USD. This is when the trouble started.
The website promised delivery within 14-20 days. After 24 days, I sent an email to 20North asking for a simple tracking number. Wonder of wonders, no tracking number was provided as they are "apparently" upgrading their system and switching to a different vendor. Ok, I can live with that as long as someone can periodically just let me know where the packages are.
After bouncing emails back and forth, one Mr. Alister called me and assured me that I would get the items within 24 hours (By now 25 days had elapsed). Nothing the next day. The day after, I received one item out of the three (day 27).
Again, mails were sent to 20North, and calls were made. Finally the director, Mr. Adil gave a call and assured me that I would receive the items within 48 hours. Day 32 passed. Nothing arrived. Again, gave them a call only for Adil to promise me that I would get the items within 24 hours. When a company's director cannot honor commitments, what does it portray?
Next day (34 days after placing the order), I got one more item - the headset. Till now, havent yet received the final package still. Twiddling my thumbs and hoping my packages would arrive.
Heres a tip guys - Never ever buy from 20North.com. This is a sham operation, and just keeps informing customers that they are busy, operating with less staff or their supply chain has a problem - None of these are actually a customer's concern. As a customer, all one is bothered about is when you place an order, you should get it delivered.
