I was looking for Internet Service for my new home. I found offerwire link where in it showed that they would be providing Router and Modem on Rebate and internet Services would be costing me 19.99$ per month. I have successfully made the payment, the router and Modem was delivered to me successfully. But then when I was to trying to register the Modem and router and called up the Comcast customer care, they have told that they do not have any such internet plans for 19.99$ and it is only for Cable Customers. When Checked with the Offer wire team on why haven't they crosschecked if I am an existing Cable Customer they simply apologized and mentioned that could be an error on the site. I have even opened the package to connect Modem and Router. OfferWire customer Executive has asked me to return the equipment but since I have opened it I would be charged 20% of what I have paid.
I'm at a pure loss. Firstly they haven't verified if I was an existing Cable customer when I have purchased 19.99$ package. Secondly Neither Comcast has verified if I was a Cable customer (by asking the CustomerID).
I have to pay for the postage and the 20% of the Modem and Router amount as well.
Do not believe in OfferWire Rebates. They simply sell them off without even validating your status and you are at a loss at the End!!!
