Passport Inquiry delayed by the Police

Dear Sir,

This is just to bring into ur kind notice that even after the confirmation of all the documents attached to the Application of Passport by the police station (Sadar) Vijay Nagar, Amritsar. Still after 10 days my Passport verification is not forwarded to the Passport Office Amritsar and also they asked me for Bribe at the time of verrification if i want it positive from there end.

So kindly help me out the way it is possible.

My Passport Reference No. is R006202 submitted on 20th july 10 and verrified all the documents to the police on 7th Aug 10.
