I have had a bad experience with afraud salesman of Asian Tele Shop. I reside at 1505 Hiranandani Estate, Ghodbunder Rd, Patlipada, Thane 400607. T: (022) 25861420/1
On 4 Jan a salesman who gave his name as Bipin Suud and his contact no. as 9867871246 came to my house and sold three products to me-Electricity Saver (Rs 999), Zoom Mosquito Repellant (Rs 499-1 1 free) and Sauna Belt (Rs 999), Totally Rs 2497. He gave a Cash Memo No. 082 of Asian Tele Shop, Shop No.4, Road No.8, Borivali (East), Mumbai-66, Phone:1600-333-333.
On the cash memo he has given in writing-16 year guarantee, 60 days Money Back Guarantee and printed on the cash memo is 'One Year Replacement Guarantee'. He also assured us that if we were not satisfied with the products we could call him any time within 2 months and he would take the products and give the money back. We tried the products and found that they were fake and ineffective. However, even after we called Bipin several times on his phone, he told us it would be done but has not turned up till date. On some occasions, he told us that his name is Kamlesh and he would give the message to Bipin. The toll free no. on the memo is a false no. We noticed that there is one more no. on the cash memo but that has been blotted out. Bipin also told us that they had an outlet at Big Bazaar, Mulund where we could return the products and take the cash back, but on enquiring we found there was no such outlet.
I have the Cash Memo in my possession. As a consumer forum, I request you to kindly bring this fraud Bipin to book and get him to take his garbage products back and return my money. He has to be stopped so that he cannot cheat more people.
My husband has already lodged a police complaint. If he fails to take back the products and return my money, he will have to face the consequences.
