Death Claim of my father rejected stating pre existing not declared

Dear Sir / Madam,

My father late Mr Ramesh mehta (expired on 08th April), had taken a life insurance policy in 2005

we have been paying the premuims regularly without any gap

when i lodged the death claim in the event of his death, aviva rejected the claim saying there was some pre existing diabetes which was not declared at the time of taking policy

my dad had taken this poliy alongwith met life in the same year 2005 and the claim from met has been settled very promptly same with LIC of india

i request you to help me in getting the claim settled
