Subject: Regarding fraudulent transactions on my credit card
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am holding ICICI Card 4477 4663 9728 0016.
I got SMS alert for following transactions:
1. 18.06.2008 for Rs.3000/-
2. 26.06.2008 for Rs.25100/-
None of the above transactions were done by me or authorized by me.
I called up the CUSTOMER CARE as soon as I realized about the fraud and requested for blocking of the card.
I came to know that the transaction on 18.06.08 was done for paying Vodafone bill.
Further on 26th of June my Credit card was debited Rs.25100/- on account of booking Kingfisher Airlines tickets. I called up Kingfisher helpline no.080 41979797 to find out the details.
I was told that 4 persons have already traveled on 26th against this booking from Delhi to Calcutta by the names of Deepak Kaushik, Vikas Kumar, Vinay Kumar and Yogita.
I spoke to your customer care executive on 01-07. They informed me that the transaction made on 26.06.08 For Rs.25100/- is not settled.
I called up call center to track that person right away but it was not done by your department. If this would have been, the IP address of the computer where all the transactions were attempted from could have been obtained. And this could have helped in getting the unauthorized user caught.
As we have to report the matter to POLICE & MEDIA, we request you investigate & provide me the establishment from where debit transaction has originated.
This clearly shows that the some data from your credit card department has been shared with unauthorized persons. This is a serious lapse on your behalf.
This has resulted an unnecessary trouble & metal stress to me.
I would like you to take necessary steps to investigate the matter & credit my account with immediate effect.
Yours truly,
V.S.Bansal
