Collecting amount while passport verification

Hi,

A heavy nuisance and torture by police when they are calling the canditdates to verify their passport at the police station. Also they are openly asking amount as corruption. Do we need to give amount for verifying our passport. This is happening at Bangalore Subramaniya Nagar Police station. The amount as corruption collected by the writer Srinivas & Sathish (name not clearly known), there.

Why they need to spoil passport applicant respect when we were called for police verification? They dont know how to treat the theif and innocent people. All this they should show in capturing the robbers/culprits/theives. Why they are showing all these to innocent people? Why they collecting amount for doing their duty? Is there any rules issued by Passport Regional Office, Bangalore to collect the amount from candidates who come for passport verification?
