Credit card late payment and interest charges

D/Sir,

There was an outstanding amount of Rs. 36, 330.00 of Feb'08 bill and payment date was 03 March 08. When I asked on 26 Feb 08 the customer care told that his representative will collect the cheque today itself. After repeated calls when he fails to collect the cheque, I was told by customer care on 29 Feb 08 to Drop the cheque in a drop box near petrol pump in DLF Phase-I Gurgoan. i had dropped at the said location on 29 Feb 08.

My cheque is not been presented in the HDFC bank. Then I again call to Barclay customer care on 06 March 08 then representative come to collect on 09 March 08, he confirm that no extra amount to be charged and same was claimed on 14 March 08 by cheque dated 29 Feb 08 bank HDFC Rs. 36, 330.00.

Barclay bank customer care were sending monthly card statement with interest and late payment charges and making repeated calls. On 3 Aug 08 at about 11:00 am from mobile no. 9873603554 the customer care told that he has not received any payment. Barclay bank are making threatening call & SMS. Today i.e. 05 Aug 08 I receive a SMS for putting my case with 'CIBIL'.

Please guide and help.
