Power severed for four days

The posting here is not for any resolution as nothing would happen here unless you are a man with influences...

Posted here just so that like me, others too can be relieved that they too are not alone facing problems here...

If the email I sent to 6 people including vigilance, i got bounce back from 4 of them stating mail box full, (waiting from the remaining as well) Talked to an SP vigilance as well... why trust a website then?

The reason why i posted here is

1. To let people know that they are not alone facing problems

2. To tell others that there are severe problems than 3 hrs blackout without power etc

The scenario, my power has been severed from friday...

Official reason, I didnt pay electricity bill due on march 24th.

The real reason... A (MF) called ramesh came to my house and demanded a cheque plus some 50 rs for paying my bill, I just blasted him away...

Till today i made 5 trips to the BESCOM office and got replies as, come tomorrow, we understand only kannada, do you have a cvehicle, the person is on leave.. everyone is busy now..and the fourth day today still no power..

I pray that just like BSNL is dying out due to inefficient lazy, arrogant people there, so should electricity privatization should happen...

After all who cares about anything else rather than (in order) MONEY, money then money, then power / confort then regionism, linguism and finally ego.

But please dont waste time sending emails to anyone, as you are ought to get mailbox full messages... yes these people are really busy...

So two choices...

1. go to the BESCOM office cry to him / her stating that you cant live without electricity your kids exams etc...

2. Cave in to some stupid (MF) Ramesh, give him cheque money if you are happy ..

Hoping to create a record of 7 days... without fan, computer, TV, proper cooking without the mixie grinder, thank god i dont have washing machine yet..

First,

My deepest apologies if this email is sent to the wrong people.

My problem

I am a tenant staying at: XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX, BTM 2nd stage Bangalore

Last Friday April 9th the Electricity was severed from my home.

The Mistake / crime on my part

I failed to pay the electricity bill Due on 24th March

Friday I had to wait till 4:30 PM to confirm if it was a power cut or that power isn’t there in my house. Sometimes the MCB trips for some reason and so I checked all that after this It occurred that maybe this may be because that my E-bill isn’t paid.

I deeply regret this and would try not to repeat the late payment again as we were out of station.

Coming back, that evening as soon as we discovered this, I called my house owner for advice he told me to go to the EB office near Udupi gardens and inform them, After much fumbling at around 5:30 I went to the EB office and found a customer struggling with the automated payment machine there, he told me that the office is closed and that the machine is not working,

Lets cut everything short, in the office a person after looking at my bill said that the connection is severed and that I might have to come back tomorrow morning as there is no one there. So one night without fan, cooking etc Next day April 10th morning 9:30 AM I made the payment to a very kind gentleman at the counter and he told me to go inside and enquire about the electricity connection, I went and then another person told me to come back around 10:30 I went back to the office at 10:30 I went inside and saw a lady there, I explained my problem and then she said you will have to come back at 3:00 PM, I told her, if there is a provision, can I submit a written letter and a Xerox copy of the bill, she snapped back “come at 3 that’s the procedure here”

At around 3:00 PM I went there and found two people sitting adjacent the entrance I explained him the problem.

He declared the same familiar sentence as declared to me the previous evenings and in the morning. ”there is no one here, everyone has gone away come tomorrow morning at around 9:30 and see”, I told him that I wont be able to come on Sunday (as I would be out of bangalore) and I am ready to submit a letter to the official here (I didn’t know whom to contact there) … anyways cutting short the blunt conversations we had ….. he finished the conversation with a ….. Ok…ok…ok……. I will tell ”thum challo chalo…”

Thanks to BESCOM J Now 3 days are over (the 4th day today) at home without fan, forget about office work, we have also acquired skills cooking food that doesn’t need a mixer grinder. Just now after calling home I have even put my mobile on charging from my office. Itself J

I have paid the amount as on Saturday morning. Friday the office was closed, and the machine didn’t seem to be working.

I am ready to come there at the BTM layout office again (Near Udupi garden) and meet the officer in charge but we humbly humbly request you to please do tell me your timings and we would plan to visit your office as otherwise, I leave around 6:00 AM for office and arrive very late.
