Sir,

1. I own BSNL land line no 0141-2231580 at jaipur. As i am a combatant member of Indian Air Force, i was on short leave to my home town Jaipur last month (Jun 09).

2. My phone was dead on 22nd of Jun 09, and i booked the complained to customer care (1500) on same day. As i was very much in need of telephone communication to accomplish my many urgent jobs in limited time period (due to leave duration), i regularly reminded the customer care (no. 1500) regarding my complain. But nothing fruitful happened.

3. Finally on 01 Jul 09, I visited Vidyadhar nagar BSNL office, leaving my all important jobs. I met concerned SDO, He told me that as per available information to him, my complain of 22nd has been rectified on 25th itself, but it was not true. Further he told me that he has so many important jobs, so let me leave his office. Further I met with area manager, and I got my telephone connection repaired on 02 Jul 09. And the same day I left my home for my duty place leaving all my important jobs pending.

My questions are :

1. Why BSNL maintain such system that rectifies complains in their computer only?

2. Is it mandatory to visit the user to BSNL office and meet the higher official to get the complained rectified?

3. Was there any valid cause like area flooded, main cable broken or etc, due which my phone could not be made serviceable?

4. Who is responsible for my inconvenience physical and mental?

5. What BSNL will do for not repeating such type of incidents?
