We have a building in FK block of shastri nagar that is usually kept closed as nobody stays there.
also there are not much of electric points fixed up at this premises as nobody uses the place . we had been receiving the minimum bills of 150, 160 per month, suddenly we receive a bill of over 25000 for the same premises as the person who came for reading could not take the reading as the premises was found closed. after receiving the bill, we submitted 2 applications regarding a re-visit of our address and clearly mentioned our contact details on the applications so that they can easily take the readings.
a day arrives when a man arrives from NDPL asking for a bribe of 500 rs, and if we don t pay, he ll terminate our connection. we did nt pay him anything, he terminates our connection. we did not bother as we know that we won t be using this place. after some days another peson comes, who says i want to remove the meter as your connection has already been terminated. we agree to that also.
now finally, we receive a notice from court saying that NDPL has filed a case against us because we have nt paid there 25000 rs.
can we say that we are living in an independent nation.
NDPL is just making good use of its monopoly in the business by unnecessary harrasment.
