Before urging for unlimited support from you, I wish to introduce my self as Banala Chandrashekhar Rao aged 52 years leading life peacefully living at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India with a small family with wife and two kids and a successful man both in family and job. We were not a business family and don’t have any kind of skills and knowledge in management of any business.
The same was cleared to Mr. Hanumat Prasad, MSF Manager, Castrol India Limited in Andhra Pradesh, India. Apparently known about my weakness in this business area Mr. Prasad was showing the Castrol brand name and image and exaggerating the pattern of bikezone and making endless promises tempted me conveying the message as invest & relax to join and Castrol also issued me franchisee licences of 3Nos. at a time without objections simply accepting cheques.
Under the great impression, respect and confidence on Castrol brand and Image we have started Castrol Bikezones in MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam in October’ 2007 and subsequently opened two more sites at Ram Nagar & Gopalapatnam, Visakhapatnam in December’ 2007 as firm name S L Associates with in span of 2 months.
Being investor of huge stake, our despite efforts is also not stands in front of sustained support from Castrol in terms of short time benefit promotional activities, the business at 3 sites has not reached the break even till date. As a result of this day we have sustained a loss of 75 lakhs rupees (170, 000 dollars) as basic investment and 18 lakhs rupees (40000 dollars) as operational over the 3 sites after 16 months and 13 months business.
Smelling losses in the month of May’ 2008 we made continuous representations to bikezone team is also in vein. In spite of 3 visits by CEO Mr. Parinjay to my sites are not helped me in increases of loss. Always they utilised the visits to victimise the franchisee for the losses.
When I contacted my co-franchisees in India, the truths which heard was got deep shock, presently out of 114 Bikezones only 4 or 5 are earning nominal profits and the balance were under heavy losses and thinking about to stop Bikezones and I under stand their situation not differs me. More than 20 were got shut down in 2007 and 2008.
I lost my hard earned money which generated and saved for my family from last 30 years and I have no stamina to hold this further more and going to be stands as dummy on roads along with family. Not only loosing of money we experienced loosing our respect, credibility in the society and victimized to creditors and various government departments as defaulters. Now we are un-touchable in our circles and society.
Now I am praying for some one who pay interest in secure the Castrol image and innocent franchisees and strongly believe that one will help us to exit from this nasty situation.
