I would like to lodge a serious complaint regarding the constant harassment being caused by citibank credit card collection centre agents on my card XXXX3008. I received a call from some DSA of this bank for a health insurance Good Health Policy, for which the said person told me that it will cost 250 per year from my credit card and he told me this policy can be cancelled with zero fee if after requesting not to pursue with the policy after receiving the policy within 45 days. I gave him details of my 4 family members. He didnt let me know the cost is 250 per person per year. When I received the letter for the policy, it charged 1800 on my credit card. 1000 for 4 family members and 800 other administrative charges. This was not told to me beforehand. I recieved the letter for policy on 15 July but the policy was already made effective from 1 July. When I called the customer care on Aug 16th at 1230 am for cancellation of my policy. He let me know that it is over 45 days and you will have to bear the 50% cost, which I refused. Since then the customer care people are harassing me. After 7 or 8 months, I received a call from their call center that they will cancel the policy if I pay them minimum amount. For a single piece of paper, which never became effective, I agreed and negotiated for the minimum amount to settle the dispute. The negotiation ended up at 200 Rs which I agreed to pay for which the said person told me to send me NOC for the same. They collected the amount of 200 and never send me NOC for the same. After 1 month, they have again started me calling, harassing me, and asking for more money. They are threatening to beat me up, filing law suit, and also putting my name in satyamonline defaulters list etc. They are not even bothered that I have already paid 200 Rs for a mere piece of papers. These people should be arrested for all this.
