Placement of External Indicator on Taxi

The new taxis with the electronic meter has no external indicator to tell a prospective passenger if the taxi is busy or not.

The older taxis have manual meters which clearly indicate whether the taxi is occupied. I suggest we start a system with an external indicator that can be placed on the top of a taxi as in many cities across the world.

I had sent this suggestion to the Mumbai police who have responded that this matter pertains to the RTO. Request if you can kindly look into this and implement the suggestion
