I have been working for the BPO industry since Dcember, 1st. I have worked for top notch Companies like HSBC, WNS Global Services, Global Vantedge Pvt. Ltd..There is a procedure when submitting your testimonials-the original document is scanned then and once verified & validated is returned instantlyand the HR retains the copy of the original. In my case the HR personnel kept both (original as well as the photocopy saying she was busy and would get back to me personally. I had no reason to doubt her carelessway. I had joined the Co. on the 20th of FEB..Also at the time of joining I clearly mentioned that my PAN CARD had been misplaced/stolen and I only had the photo copy. HR took upon the responsibility of completing/undertaking all the necessary formalities of getting my PAN CARD re-issued (everything remaining the same-with absolutly no changes. Everything was running real smooth, at least on the surface. I was under training at that time when the trainer seemed peeved by my attitude, which has always been upfront but polite. But I could sense acertain baisness creeping in making everything tense & sour. I really don't want to get into the nitty gritty of the problems that turned from bad to worse and I had to wait for HR asking me to resign since I wasn't in the position to initiate the process (resignation)-LOP SIDED.I was in ahurry to leave and really, Competency wasn't the issue. My skills were apparent and most of the people-who mattered knew the politics being played out. The policy which exists today is- 'YOU SCRATCH MY BACK AND I'll SCRATCH YOURS"-Its indeed a situation which needs to be looked into Or else the BPO /outsourcing industry would attract people below par. BUT THE ISSUE WHICH NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS -1.HR now tells me that they are UNABLE TO OR NOT INTERESTED IN GOING THROUGH THE FORMALITIES RELATING TO MY PAN CARD-WHY TELL ME NOW .I COULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT, I NEVER IMPOSED MYSELF IN ANY WAY & MATURE ENOUGH TO CARE OF SUCH MATTERS&-THE RESULT IS THE CO HAS REFUSED TO SETTLE MY DUES BECAUSE I HAVE NO ID PROOF (READ PAN). AFTER CONSULTATIONS with the appropriate people I have BEEN TOLD EXPLICITLY THAT THE SAME CAN BE VERIFIED BY GOING & LOGGING INTO -WWW.incomtaxindia.gov.in. which reads that the pan alloted is AMGPM4402L, the NAME -Deepak Maitra. FATHER's NAME JATINDRA MOHAN MAITRA/I also have the photo copy of my PAN CARD and the original letter issued by the Income Tax Pan Services Unit when my PAN CARD was sent initially. ALL I need TO KNOW IS WHAT & WHO IS RIGHT? WHAT EXACTLY SHOULD BE MY NEXT STEP.PLEASE UNDERSTAND I AM UNDER TREMENDOUS FINANCIAL STRAIN & been languishing since 13 of MARCH-PRIORITY NO.1.The 2nd scenario is that they have blatantly denied that they have returned my ORIGINAL CLASS 10 CERTIFICATE.I KNOW I AM ON THE RIGHT and so far I have been the ultimate gentleman-Thats what upbringing is all about. DO I or SHOULD I REGISTER an FIR and seek legal advice (I really can't afford that).
THIS IS SHEER HARRASMENT AND I NEED TO BE MORE AGGRESSIVE-I'd be real grateful if the salary issue can be resolved ASAP.YOU ARE DEFINETLY MY LAST RESORT.At the time of joining everything was hunky dory. I'm A Sr. Executive -WEB CONTENT /INTERNET MARKETING.
Working with INTELLICOM-belonging To the JINDAL'-S is a CO.without scruples & integrity, a tawdry & sleazy organization and NASSCOM should monitor the ethics, because we've taken everything for granted. I ain't going to loose out ESP.when RIGHT.
