I had booked a cruise for 2010 last weekend - July 24th Island Gems Cruise - 4 berth. I paid my deposit - $800.00. Received in the mail this week 2 booking confirmations and a deposit confirmation. Balance left was way over and above what was quoted to me in my first call.
I rang P&O yesterday to say that there had been a mistake made. I was asked what brochure I had got this cruise from. I told her the Early Bird 2010. She then asked me what date I had gotten this brochure, & where I had gotten it from. I asked her why she didn't have the information on her computer and was told that I could very easily be making the prices up. Absolutely not acceptable in any way for me to be spoken to and accused of such a thing. I asked to be put through to a supervisor, was left on hold for quite a while, but evenutally the same girl came back full of apologies as there had been a mistake made on their end regarding my booking. No apology forthcoming for accusing me.
I appreciate the apology for the mistake, but believe that this sort of response in not in the best interests of P&O. to train staff to speak in this manner. Helen Saffy
