Misbehavior by the auto rickshaw driver - Mumbai (Dahisar)

Hello,

I was riding my Bike everyday morning from Dahisar to andheri, the auto driver was rash driving and arguing, using harsh language and dashed into my bike, therefore I stop my bike in front of his auto and ask for his id card and driving license and have submitted to Traffic Police.

This is not an end to the story, the auto driver followed till my office, and at every signal he was passing dirty comments to all other auto rickshaw drivers. Mostly some auto drivers do more rash driving and do not give side to cars, bus, Truck & bikes.

When there is no passenger in auto the auto driver do rash driving and do not use their side mirror nor they give signals. The people are afraid of auto from where they come in between from galis and applied emergency brake.

The main big problem of rickshaw driver is that they stop anywhere in between of road to take passenger in auto, while the car, bus, truck / Bike in high speed they can’t applied emergency brake at the same time and it becomes more chance of accident. Some Auto Drivers smoke bidi in between Traffic until their bidi gets over till that time the traffic get increase more.

90% of Bike / car Accident happens on Road due to irresponsible and rash driving of auto drivers. Please take strict action against this newly youngster auto drivers who do rash driving and should traffic police cancel their id as well as license if required. Please let me know whether action has taken or not or the Leader Sharad Rao, the leader of the Mumbai Autorickshaw-Taximen’s Union should know about it.

They should be there to help people to reach their destination in time and not to trouble them which is the current situation in Mumbai. The meters are always fast. being a regular traveller i know the the general fares.

I really wish that the authorities should do something for this as per my knowledge the rickshaw fellow shouldn`t say NO to a customer when he is on his duty... whether it be a nearby destination or a far away destination.
