I am working as Zonal Manager (East) for EID PARRY (INDIA) LIMITED and I have a company owned self driven Bolero (WB02Z 3112) for my office and personal use. On 16th April while I was out side Town my parents were travelling to their native place by the vehicle hiring a local driver for the day. This vehicle was took under requisition for election purpose inspite of several requests by my father and the Blue Book of the vehicle along with the Driving Licence of the temporary driver was taken away.
According to the requisition slip, I had to report on 5th May at Morning 6AM at National Library, New Alipur, Kolkata. Inspite of my busy schedule I took my vehicle and went to the place in time and awaited till 10AM. Surprisingly there was no one from the concerned authority to talk to or hand over the Key of the vehicle!
Then I went to Bhawanipur P.S and I was suggested to report at your 36, Gopal Nagaor Road, Alipur office. I went there and reported my presence and wrote an application to exampt me from the requisition list as it is a self driven vehicle and I may not be available to drive the vehicle for election purpose. My application was received. Verbaly I was confirmed, this issue will be taken care off.
Since 5th May I am receiving 4-5 calls everyday with sharp threatning that if I do not send the vehicle Election commission may take legal action against me. Unfortunately I fell sick and now under medical consultation because of high fever.
Please look into the matter and suggest what was the fault from my part and why I have to suffer from this unethical threatning for no reson!
