My experience-Bad to wrose to worst

This is the copy of mail have written to TATA motors.

I have or actually had a car, Fiat Palio Car (1.6 GTX) number DL3CV-2675. One and half months back it developed a snag on road and I immediately stopped the car there and by pushing it I took it side on the road. I called up my 24 hrs help line and they came and told me that timing belt is broken. I checked on internet then and there, I found Gurgaon car scanners in the list. I spoke on the number given and was told that they are authorised agency for servicing Fiat vehciles. They even offered me towning facility to till the service station. But thanks to my insurance company, they offered me free towing and towed that vehcile to "Gurgaon Car Scanners".

It was then when my nightmare started, vehcile was immediately attended to and was told that by evening they would give me the vechile. They gave me service sheet. After that nothing has been good till today.

They gave me vehcile after 10 days and told that this is allright. They billed me Rs. 7800/-(APX), I took a test drive and paid the amount. Only after 10-15 kms the vehcile started heating and sound from engine started coming, I was shocked, I pushed the vehciles side and called up Rohtas of Gurgain Car scanners, he told me to drive the vehcile and bring it tomorrow morning. I asked him if this would be a problem, he told that no, it would not be a problem. So I took the vehcile home and next morning I again brought back the vehicle to "Guragaon car scanners".

For over month, they kept giving me vague excuses daily and tell me to keep my cool. I regularly told them that please let me know if they are authorised for servicing FIAT, they told me sir all TATA agencies are authorised to service FIAT. I betterd that nobody is trained to attend that vehcile. Even in front of me nobody was able to attend that vehcile with confidence, all mechanics showed ignorance and commented to Rohtas "Dekhna Padega, maloom nahi kya hai, kuch hua hoga". Then and there I knew that nobody is aware of the mechanism in this car. I asked again and again " Do you have experinced mechanic to attend my car? " answer was, "are sir aap kya baat kar rahe hain, hamare pass sab trained hain".

After that they never called me up, I kept calling, sometimes phone went unanswered, sometime Rohtas picked up the phone and started giving excuses. I regulalry told them that I commute from Dwarka to Gurgaon, I face difficulty asking for lift and through other mode, they kept laughing and were not even sympathetic. I kept begging for lifts.

As discussed with you few days back, you had told me that they are NOT AUTHORISED TO SERVICE FIAT and my fear that they do not have mechanics came true. I was totally shocked at this new development. I was totally at loss of words. ised me to speak to Mr. Sumit owner of Gurgaon Car scanners, I spoke to him, he listen to me pateintly and told me that he was sorry for all the horrific things that have happened to me. He was apologitic. He told me that not to worry, he will take care and get the vehicle repaired and has requested me not to write to you. I thought ok let's give it a try. After 4 days and again many follow ups I got a call that vehicle has been repaired. They came with vehcile and gave me bill of Rs. 37500/- appx. They told me that they have repaired the vehicle and whole engine has been overhauled.

I have also contracted many mechanics and they have told me that it does not required whole engine overhaul, maximum the valve is bent and it hardly costs 10-12th rupees. I am at loss of words, the care which is valuing not more than 1 Lac, they have spent so much money without even asking me and are asking me to pay money for no fault of mine. They repaired the vehicle in first place without having proper workmanship and because of that vehicle developed snag again.

They have misused your good office to get business and am sure that all of thier mechanics have learned and practiced on my car. They have done more damage to my car, they have opened engine and done (learned) things.

Belive me I do not write long mails, and this is shortest version that I could have written of all the harrasment I went through.

I seek your help in getting my car and also seek legal/disciplinary action from your side on "GURGAON CAR SCANNERS"

I am also filing copy of this email to following:

1. Fiat India Pvt. Ltd

2. Tata motors head office

I have already consulted an advocate and am planning to go to consumer court and seek compensation over 2 Lacs and damage charges against this service center for deficenicy in service and mental harrsment due to them. I also properly plan to go to media to show up the negligence on service center's part.
