I lived in Namibia for more than 40 years. I have a FNB account in Windhoek Namibia and I had a Credit Card Account. I have a few thousand Nam dollars in the Credit account and I always use it when I go and visit Namibia. I was a namibian and paid taxes in Namibia before I emigrated to the UK a few years ago. My money in my credit card account ended up in South Africa FNB and they don't want to or cannot release it, because I don't live in SA. I did not live in SA, nor did I emigrate from SA. I cannot see how this can be a legal process to take my money without my knowledge or without infoming me when I was clearly a Namibian citizen. I have been in correspondance with the FNB SA, but I cannot make any move forward. I can apparently only transfer that money into my own SA current account which I never had, because I did not live in SA. I also cannot open an account in SA, because I don't live there. So, my money was taken without my knowledge and permission and FNB has no intention to give it back. This is serious for an big international bank.
