Dear Sir/Madam,
I travelled in AC3 tier (B2) compartment from Jammu to Bandra on 19/12/08 but had a horrible experience.
1) Since there is no seat no marking on the outside of the compartment, v cannot predict which door will be easier for us to get in especially when travelling with luggage and old parents. It becomes very problematice to drag the luggage inside and literally blocks the narrow passage.
2) I found there were small cockroaches roaming in the compartment. I couldnt sleep in the whole journey and was literally smashing the cockroaches although i paid the full ticket amount for a sound and comfortable journey. And the journey was more horrible when v found small rats running in the compartment and testing each luggage. I dnt understand how much negligence we have to manage being an Indian. It is really rediculus.
4) Iam staying at Naigaon -a station which comes before Vasai road in western line -mumbai. Since there is no stop for a Jammu - bandra train either at Virar or Vasai, we are forced to get down at borivali. Does railway authority believe that it is really managebale to board a virar local in evening hours with luggage and old parents. I dont understand when Swaraj express is bringing passengers frm North to Mumbai why people staying at Virar to bhayander cant allign at station nearer to their home. And the real fun is that we have to pay Rs.1000/- for getting a road transport from borivali to naigaon &- a cost which is equal to travel from jammu to bandra for a AC 3 tier!!!
Please think seriously on this. Looking forward for a better journey next time.
thanks in advance to all who will be seriously doing something to solve this issue.
