Sub: OBJECTION TO CONSTRUCTION OF KAKAYAPPA KALYANA MANTAPA AT 18TH MAIN 3RD CROSS HAL 2ND STAGE BANGALORE – 560008
We the senior citizen of HAL 2nd Stage would like to bring forth the following few lines for your kind consideration and necessary action.
We being a country with numerous religions, caste and creed have always lived in harmony and never objected anyone to follow their religion. But now religion is politicised for the advantage of few and inconvenience to the common man.
We have now noticed one such activity that is going to bring down the peace and harmony of the residents of HAL 2nd Stage as we have been informed that a Kalyana Mantapa is going to be constructed on 18th Main 3rd Cross HAL 2nd Stage. There already exits a Ganesha temple in the same location which has already added to the misery of the residents since, lot of thefts, parking problems and unauthorized vehicles being parked in front of the temple for many days are causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents in that lane.
Although we appreciate the pious inclination of the people to have a temple in their vicinity, places of worship have been built with an intent of making it a business and it has also become the breeding ground for racism. Now the plan of a KALYANA MANTAPA being built adjacent to the temple will only add to the misery of all the senior people staying in the vicinity as the noise, commotion and traffic would disturb the peace in the residential area.
This construction being for the greed of few would be a perennial problem that would later on lead to someone constructing a Mosque or a Church or some other commercial establishment in the same locality if the right to construct a commercial property (Kalyana Mantapa) in the residential area is given.
Hence we appeal to you to use your good offices to stop this construction and help safety and peace prevail in a locality filled with us Senior Citizens for which we shall ever remain obliged.
