I am having an SIP with HDFC bank since 18 months and my payment was regular till december. In December I requested to change my bank address for ECS. As informed by CAMS staff in Ahmedabad to fill up ECS mandate document and Account receipt to change my bank address (corporation to HDFC). As instructed by staff member i filled up the form and submitted to him.
last month I came to know that my SIP/ECS is not getting deducting since 5 months because my old bank is not having sufficient amount and SIP is reffering to old bank only. when I approached CAMS in ahmedabad, they informed me that you havent given the ECS mandate document to change your bank address and we received request to change bank for dividend. Since they never give me the receipt of received documents and now i dont have any proof that I have submitted the said document.
On top of it I never received any letter from neither CAMS nor HDFC stating that I am missing on ECS since 5 months. Reply from CAMS staff was weired that we cannot do anything and you have to fill another ESC mandate form.
To save my SIP I filled up the ECS mandate form on 26th May and followed the instructions as per CAMS staff. Today I received the letter from CAMS that your request for change in ECS mandate is denied because of incomplete form. Today When I approaced CAMS ahmedabad they said it was our fault that our staff has accepted the incomplete form. Honestly speaking I followed the instructions of CAMS staff
Now the knightmare is my SIP is blocked because of Non payment since 3 months. It was blocked on 4 June still i didnt have any communication.
After communicated to CAMS staff, they connected me to HDFC AMC office where i met Asst. Manager, he also accepted that I am not in fault but we cannot do anything.
I am confused what to do espicially when i am not in fault. My credibility is gone like anything since 5 month because of non payment.
Please suggest what to do n where to approach.
