Landlord not returning security deposit

My landlord has not returned my security deposit even after 8 months of expiration of lease and evacuation of home just after that.

I have issued two reminders in written after that, requesting for deposit of money in my bank account but he has not done anything.

Please suggest what action can I take to get my hard earned money back. Thanks
