I am referring to Hotel Sai Mahal in Shirdi. Their Website: www.saimahal.com
We have made an Online Booking for 3 Rooms - first room is with 4 Bedded A/C room; second room is with 3 Bedded A/C Room; third room is with 2 Bedded A/c Rooms. We have checked the tariff as per the web and proceeded with booking. Before booking the rooms, we have called them and took their verbal confirmation whether they can give rooms with checkin at 07.00 AM and check-out at 07.00 AM, the next day.
They confirmed over phone that the timings can be any but only for 24 hours. But, when we actually visited, they said they can give us rooms only at 12.00 Noon and we have to wait till noon. When we have asked about their phone confirmation they say that they are four people who handles reception and they do not know who confirmed it. () When the purpose of paying advance of Rs.5720/- did not serve our purpose, we want to cancel the booking and they have confirmed that they cannot return the amount. () The option left to us was either to wait till noon OR take extra rooms again to stay till noon to complete our daily routines like bathing, etc.() Initially they said no extra rooms are available, on our repeated requests, they have given us one Non-A/c. 4 Bedded Room with one Toilet-cum-Bathroom for 3 hours, I REPEAT just for THREE HOURS at a cost of Rs.800/- It was our step-back that we could not go out in search of rooms for this three hours and so we had to occupy the same rooms. Further, when we have asked them to give us our reserved rooms at 12.00 Noon - they said that the rooms are not available and we have to wait till 03.00 PM. ULTIMATELY, WHAT WE UNDERSTAND THAT THEY TOOK ONLY THE AMOUNT AND HAVE NO MORALE TO RESER THE ROOMS AGAINST OUR ADVANCE PAYMENT.
I WANT TO ALERT EVERY ONE THAT PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL AND DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS IN ADVANCE. WE HAVE BEEN DECEITED BY THIS HOTEL PEOPLE.
