I am a HSBC savings account with number 125-105304-006 customer for the past years. It was opened as a Salaried Account and till salary used to get credited to this account and I did not need to maintain any balance but after that, I had to go for higher education and I was without pay for next 2 years. About 1.5 years back, I enquired at local HSBC branch in Chandigarh that my salry wont be credited henceforth, so I would close my bank account if I needed to maintain any minimum balance. I was assured that Savings Account is still a Savings Account and I should not worry.
Now, suddenly, charges have been levied for the last quarter for not maintaining the minimum balance WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION.
FAULT lies at HSBC end, I want to lodge a legal complaint:
1) For not working ethically and for not maintaing any proper records.
2) For not communicating anything to the Banking Customers.
3) For case of fraud.
I have been communicating to HSBC about their faults but they have been denying it vehementky and playing with Customer`s money. Their Argument is that we have been doint it to (OR duping) all the customers like this, so you should also pay us the money. I request on behalf of all the poor customers who have suffered from the frauds of a Foreign bank. They are playing with people` ignorance and their hard earned money is going in a foreigner`s hand.
