Engine trouble in less than two years

I bought a Hyundai Tucson in Mar. Until Nov I was extremely happy with the vehicle.

In Dec I noticed a significant loss of pickup. Around Christmas, I drove to Ooty and the car could not climb the mountain, even when I floored the accelerator!

Repeated visits to the Trident Hyundai service station in Bangalore produced no results other than "everything is fine with your car sir"!

In Jan, I started observing the engine was no longer quite and smooth and there was a distinct clatter during idling. I had the vehicle "serviced" by Trident Hyundai with no improvement. On the contrary, by Feb the clatter had become worse. Another visit to Trident Hyundai and the response was "all diesel engines will have clatter"!

Now I am left out on a limb. Clearly the engine is deteriorating day by day. Instead of diagnosing the problem and fixing it, Hyundai service center just stands by, clueless. I have written a complaint letter to Hyundai, but their response is so sluggish, my engine will, in all probability, be dead by the time they react.

I sincerely regret having purchased a "high end" vehicle from Hyundai, and more than regret the money I have thrown down the drain with this vehicle!
