Dear Sir/madam,
I am an savings bank account holder in ICICI Bank Ltd with a/c no 001001507312. I had submited a cheque for clearing on 12.10.'09. Anticipating that the chq would have cleared I tried to withdraw some money from atm. I had used SBI's atm machine where there was no provision for balance enquiry. At first the request was rejected. I thought it was a mistake from my part and I tried again. The same msg insufficient fund. But the bank debited me Rs.28/- twice. When I contacted the ICICI Bank I found that though the chq got cleared on 14.10.09 the same was not updated in the system and hence insufficient fund.
I had to pay Rs.56/- for no mistake of me.
I had send a complaint to the ICICI Bank. But they said it was my mistake and hence they could not waive the rejection charges of Rs.56/-.
Since not any of our local banks charge an "atm rejection charge" I was stunt to find such a charges from a new generation bank.
I request you to take necessary action to waive my atm rejection charges.
Thanking you
Yours truly
Nina Emmanuel
