Non Refund of ATM Transaction of Rs. 8067 for which amount was not dispensed by ATM machine

Dear Sir,

This is to bring your kind attention to bad customer service provided to Me by ICICI Bank.

I work with ICFAI National College, Chandrapur a city near Nagpurt in Maharashtra and I was provided with Salary A/c. from ICICI bank from Nagpur branch. Unfortunately at that time in my city chandrapur there was no ATM to withdraw money so I had to rely on non ICICI Bank ATM. On 6th January I went to withdraw money from SBI Banks ATM located at kasturba road, chandrapur. The time was at about 7.00 pm. So I have inserted my ICICI Bank Debit Card & its pin number and dialed the amout Rs. 3000/- there was some processing happening it was long time nothing happened neither cash came out nor the decline slip after some time card came out of the machine there was no indication on the screen of ATM also. I stayed there for few minutes just to check whether any instruction is coming from machine however there was no activity. So I left from that ATM and After some time I received one SMS on my cell that the amount of Rs.8067/- have been debited from my account. I was shocked to see because amount dialed by me was only Rs. 3000/- and I never received any Cash then where these Rs. 8000/- got debited from.

With this regards I have lodged a complaint with ICICI Bank's phone banking center and I was told to wait for 8-9 working days simultaneously I have given written complaint in SBI Bank Candrapur branch also. There was no call back from your banks side to intimate me about the case I have called after 9 days in your phone banking center referring to this complaint and I was told that "the amount has been debited from SBI bank also in this case we have asked for the proof from ICICI bank so mam you need to wait for 45 days which is the RBI guideline" It was difficult for me to wait as It is my salary account and it was almost 1 month I haven't got the money to suffice my family needs but still I thought I should co-operate and wait till 45 days time because

I have called after 45 days in ICICI Bank's phone banking center I was kept on hold for almost half an hour but there was no feedback and they have not shown any courtesy to call back customer who is seeking support and help from his bank.

Its been almost 10 months but I have not received my money back. I request you to please look into this matter, I am writing this in expectation that this matter will be given a priority and above that I will get my salary which is hardly earned.

SR50886752 complaint maid on 6th Jan. 08, 63069735 complaint maid on 15th Apr. 08, 65450899 complaint maid on 3rd may 08 & 6545025 complaint maid on 7th May ’08.
