Totally disappointing service - ICICI being run by Inefficient and incapable executives

Mail I sent to the Bank says it all:

To whomsoever it may concern at ICICI bank

This old complaint of delay in RD amount Disbursal has still not been redressed... I haven't received any compensation for the Delay and harassment provided by the bank..

AND NOW you create a new ISSUE..

on my ICICI EMI CARD - 44xx-xxx-7001

I was offered the EMI card by your own executives..stating its free and for "Privileged" customers only... I took and that time you gave me credit limit of Rs. 96000, (I have all the required papers indicating that),

&- As there is a restriction of minimum transaction amount of Rs. 4000 hence I couldnt use it for normal monthly expenses...

&- and now when I have actually called up in Feb 09 confirmed the limit and the charges for usage and had even clearly mentioned it to the rep that I need to pay for 2 Insurance policy premiums, for 20000 and 16000 respectively...

&- and I did make the payment for the ICICI Prudential policy on 30 March '09 for Rs. 20, 000, And on internet banking, I did notice there was total credit limit of 96, 000 of hich 76, 000 was left.

But next day I get an sms on 31/03 09:01am, stating you have made transaction for Rs 20, 000 and available credit limit is Rs (- 20, 164.35) Credit limit in negative...??

And even on Internet banking I see my limits were turned back to 0.00 even on the previous statement... to top it you have also applied a exceeding limit fee of Rs.600???!! (see attached file)

When I called up the Phone banking... the rep there tells me that as I had not used the card for long, you guys "revised" my limit effective 30th March.she stated this was intimated to me by sms, which I never received and also as per her my credit limit was never Rs. 96000, and that it was 20, 000, she asks me to send a proof that it was 96000, and says that any restatement can be done only after the next billing takes place..

I want to ask

-- How can you just revise my credit limit without intimating it to me in writing, Even in other banks we receive a letter from the bank, which gives atleast 20-30 days from the date of letter before revising the limit.

-- And how come Revising means making it "0", even SBI makes it 50% but not 0

-- Also Why was the transaction for policy premium entertained when you clearly were removing the limit on that date..You should have denied the transaction.

-- How are you authorised to make any changes on previous statements, when I am having a hard copy statement with me showing credit limit of Rs 96, 000..how could you remove it on the internet banking statement... That shows there is NO Credibility of your online statements, you can always manipulate it, I was planning to make all statements electronic to save paper... But seeing this I want every statement to be on paper now... you guys are Defrauding me by making changes on my old statements. People NEED to be WARNED that ONLINE STATEMENTS are NOT SECURE

-- Why the hell should I wait for next billing date to get correction made on error done by your bank.

Although I wanted to clear every thing I owed to your bank soon..But it seems it doesn't matter if one maintins a good record of repayment, you inefficiency and Bad Service has no boundaries... This is to Officially announce that I WON'T BE MAKING ANY MORE PAYMENTS on ANY CARD OF ICICI BANK, UNTIL I SEE ANY CORRECTIVE and COMPENSATORY ACTION BEING TAKEN.

And for your records, Applying incorrect charges and then reversing them back, is only a corrective action for your mistakes but not a Compensatory action.

Hope to hear back from a RELIABLE officer with some AUTHORITY to take any decision..and not from any Call center executive (who can only state - will do "something " in few days or weeks)
