Abnormal delay and poor attitude of the Distributo

My consumer number 32569, originally supplied by Vaishnavi Gas, Chennai. I booked for the refill on 29th Nov 08 ref 11. I have still not got my refill even after 19 days.

It seems that this agency was terminated by the company on grounds of malpractice and shifted the cosnumers to 3 different agencies for continuing supply. However there was no communication either from the new distributor.

After personally visiting the old agency during last week, came to know of this and contacted the new agency myself. The agency claims that they sent the cylinder on 12th Dec, but returned due to door lock. However no slip from the agency was left in my house and no further actions to supply again was taken by the agency.

When contacted again on 15th Dec morning the agency promised to send the cylinder atleast by 17th Dec positively. I visited the agency as they were non committal about the supply on 17th morning. The attitude of the staff was highly non customer friendly and were very much on a commanding mode than a service mode. The owner herself was contacted and she mentioned that the cylinder will be delivered unless there is any sudden break down or services.

Since the delivery did not come even by 5.00 p.m. we contacted the agency again on phone when they made a contemptuous false promise that it is on the way and will be delivered. It did not come ultimately.

The response of the agency is highly condemnable as they seem to think that they are doing a favour and not a business dealing and service. They are arrogant and say that it is a subsidised product and hence we can not ask for the deserving service quality. The agency clearly does nit either have the capability or mind set to handle the additional list of customers diverted to them. They feel very reassured that no action can be taken against them by the company for poor customer service.

Can any thing be done to save the customers from such miseries?
