Stolen Purse on GT Train (New Delhi - Nagpur)

Sir,

I boarded the Train No 2616 (GT - from New Delhi for Nagpur on 19.5.2008)

PNR NO : 2248480588

Coach: A3 (AC 2 Tier), Train No 2616, Berth No : 19 / 20 / 21 & 2

My Purse was Stolen on 19.5.2008 at around 10.30 / 11.00 PM

My Purse had the following :

a) Cash: Rs 7500 /-,

b) SBI ATM Card,

c) IDBI ATM Cum Debit Card,

d) HDFC ATM Cum Debit Card,

e) PAN Card - 5

f) My Return Ticket from Nagpur to Nizamudin Delhi (PNR NO 6413140579, Train Gondwana Express

from Nagpur to Nizamuddin, Date of travel : 23.5.2008., Train No 2409

which the theif got refunded at Gwalior on 20.5.2008 at 8.53 AM from Counter no 996

It was total 4 Tickets.

g) My Return Ticket from Delhi to Chandigarh for 24.5.2008 (Coach No C-7) 4 Tickets

Kalka Shatabdi - (Train No : 2005) - Name: Amit Sharma / Sonal Sharma / Radhika and

Mukund.

My Complaint:

1) The Travelling Ticket Examiner - Mr Awasthi (TTE) for A-3 Coach - GT on 19.5.2008 was

a most irresponsible person and I am very confident he has a major role to play in this

act. He was sitting all through the journey infront of our Coupe. He had a long Handle

Sweeping - Floor Mop which I am quite sure he has got used to slide my Purse which was

with me when i slept. This i can say with complete surelty as a TT does not require a

Long Handle Sweeping Mop to carry with him. Also I have my Doubt on the Caterer

Mr Rajkumar who supplied me Dinner in this act. When I found my purse missing

and informed this to TTE - Mr Awasthi - he was very very cool and not at all perturbed

as if nothing had happened. When i asked him to register my complaint he 100% declined

turned down my request and said - i will have to make a break journey get down in between

station and go outside the railway station and file a FIR report.

He 100% mislead me as if to kill time and take advantage. It is a 100% Fact this is a big

nexus and it is a big group. Even the next TTE who took Charge from MrAwasthi

Mr S.S Mahur (Mobile No 0-9450073888) was not at all suppotive and i had to literally

force him to get my Report Lodged. It was a herculean task to put the things in order.

I had to follow Mr SS Mahur to get things done. Also I am quite sure he was also in

intoxicated condition. Finally I could manage to get a report signed by Mr SS Mahur

2) My Return Tickets - Nagpur to Nizamuddin (New Delhi) : PNR No 6413140579 which

i bought on 19th May were encashed at Gwalior Railway Station on 20th MAy at 8.53 AM

from counter no 996. How this could happen because only the TTE knew our names and

how could this Ticket be encashed at Gwalior when this was neither the starting point

of my journey nor the end point. How the Tickets be encashed that too a Tatkal Ticket

be encashed. This is all a big Gang Operating and Mr Awasthi has a big role in this.

The Clerk at the Rail Counter who encashed my return tickets is also a big catch

and he must be immediately questioned and grilled.

3) Even the ATM / Debit Cards of IDBI & HDFC were misused.

Goods worth Rs 22000 / - were bought from these 2 Cards within 2 hours time

on 20th Morning and we have also filed complaintsd to IDBI & HDFC Bank that how could the

the payments made on faulty representation.

I look forward to get back my refunds on Tickets and financial loss.

I have already filed FIR at Nagpur Rail Station on 20.5.2008
