SIR,
My wife SHEELA RAJANhad a SBI Card, State Bank of Travancore bearing card No 4317 5751 6408 3900 valid till 11/06. She had done only one transaction and the payment for the same was done, a payment statement dated2/6 for Rs 826.50 was received, she did not pay this because shed not made any purchase, because when the agent had filled up the form had told that the card does not have any annual fee.
On may 2nd 2007 she recived a statement asking her to pay Rs 7650.72, she did not bother because she had not done any transaction because the validity was over by 11/06, she used to get calls froman agency authorized to collect payment, I went to their office in ernakulam and they told me that a trnasaction of insurance company namely Sunduram Insurance has been done by her card on 31/3/07, so i assume someone has something on an invalid card and now my wife is being asked to pay for sometghing she has not done or aware of,
the reacet call i attended they say theyn are calling from CHENNAI and the amount to be paid is arround
R s 19000/-
My request to you is please do the needful stop this harrasment mty these agents of SBI CARD.
