Delay in Passport Reissue

Sir/Madam

I, Saravana Perumal, have applied for a new passport as my old Passport (Passport Number E5764499) was damaged.

I have applied in Chennai Passport Office for the same on 28th March.

The details are as follows:

File Number = MAS-D001454

Current Status is “Your police report has not been received. However file under process for services like 15, 16, 17”.

I enquired at the nearest Ambattur Police Station (I am resident of Kallikuppam, Ambattur) but my file is not with them.

Kindly let me know when can I expect the passport to reach me, as I require my passport for as I'm scheduled to travel abroad for project from my company on 7th April
