I'm still upset even after 2 years!
I bought the V610 3 years ago and less than 1 year later the camera quit working. The camera was still under warranty so I sent it in for repair. After Kodak recieved it, I got a letter stating that the camera had impact damage and it was my fault that it doen't work. I didn't drop it and this is no evidence of impact damage. When I asked that the repair agency send me a photo of the damaged area, they sent an image of a perfect camera... because there wasn't any!
I had no choice but pay the fee for the repair because I planned a vacation and needed the camera.
I got the camera back and inspected it carefully and found not damage. Why would there be when I never dropped or damaged it.
I am still upset (after 2 years) over the how this whole problem was handled and feel that the technician made a wrong call on this case. Is there any justice? If Kodak had any class they would review the case.
