This is regarding complaint against a fraud maid service agency named K.P.S (REGD.)
I, Madhavi Patel, and my husband, Rohit Katiyar, live in Sec-62, Noida. Since I am 8.5 months pregnant, I was looking for a full time maid and contacted above mentioned agency on 23rd April ’09. One, Mr. Ranjan told me that their agency has a full time maid named Mrs. Asha aged 35 years. She was brought to my home on 24th and we signed the 11 months contract with the agency paying 12, 000 Rs. Cash as service charge and agreed on 3, 000 Rs. to be paid to the maid every month. The agency also promised for replacement of the maid in case the same is not suitable to us.
In a week’s time the maid started mis-behaving and involved into unethical acts. When we asked Ranjan for her replacement, he started avoiding us, either not picking us his cell phone or keeping on switched-off mode. When contacted on landline, he asked us to talk to some other person named Shanta. Sometimes, when we called, he said he is Pandey and Ranjan is out of station. We also got to know from the maid that Pandey and Ranjan are only one person.
The maid ran away on 5th May and till date we have not received the service charge that we paid in advance i.e., 12, 000 Rs.. We have the cash memo of 12, 000 Rs. Also, the copy of the contract that we signed and the maid details along with her photograph are with us.
