The complaint is, Ms. Kavita and Ms. Meenakshi who both are partners of Lavanya Boutic, Flower Valley, Thane, took my order of 4 blouses to be stitched by their boutic on 1st November and confirmed delivery of stitched blouses on 20th November' 08 as my wedding was due on 30th November' 08. When I called up their boutic for delivery of my blouses on 24th Nov '08 the reply from Ms. Meenakshi was they were not ready, not even touched those blouse pieces, reason being their tailor unwell for many days... they didnt inform me about this till I called them personally... when asked reason they stated they didnt had my contact information. So me and my mom visited their boutic immediately in the afternoon and told them to get those stitched as soon as possible as my wedding date was comming closer and no other tailor would have given me the bouses sooner... Ms. meenakshi agreed on the same and promised to deliver the most urgent blouse the next day ie, 25th nov '08 and rest of the blouses by Friday 28th Nov ' 08. We took the delivery of the urgent blouse which i wanted to wear first (on my haldi day ie, 28th) on 25th evening, which was not as per the pattern told to them... on 28th as i could not go myself to the boutic i requested my mom to collect the remaining 3 blouses from the boutic. So we called them up if they could deliver those at home as the function was already started... but the reply was negative from their side... in this period Ms. Meenakshi could not be Contacted and I was told that she was Out of Town by Ms. Kavita. Finally my mom and my brother went to their boutic to collect my wedding saree blouse and Ms. Kavita refused to give it to them and Challanged that we cant do anything to her or her boutic even if we complained to the police. Ms Kavita also said bad words to my Mother which being a educated woman she should'nt have said. She knew that we were in a problem and could not do any thing at that point ie, fight or complain to police coz lack of time with us...
My request to the consumer forum is to check on this issue as soon as possible as i am retaining the written stitching receipt given by Ms. Meenakshi on the date of order where even the date of delivery was mentioned... i also retain one blouse taken on 25th nov '08 not stitched as per the order receipt...
