We had purchased a washing machine from local shop in Thane (Kiran Electronics). After few months we had issues with the front panel and we registered the complaint to the service department of LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. An engineer visited and wrote in his papers that the wires of front pane was eaten by Mouse. We did not know that this is not covered in warranty. There is however no proof of mouse in my house. The service department asked us to spend Rs 5000 to replace the front panel. We argued and despite trying to get it replaced by the company for more 3 months we had to spend the money to get it replaced. They would promise us that they will visit in next few days and that promise continued for few months. Irritated and frustrated, we had to spend the money. We also ensured that we install the mouse safety net below the machine.

Few months later the motor stopped working. Engineer visited from the service department and promised again, as usual, that it will be replaced in few days. That was more than a month ago. Even Mr. Majumdar (suppoedly head of service department) called me and told me that they will visit in few days and that was a week ago. Sometimes they tell us the motor is not working and sometimes they say PCP is not working. It seems that the department full of incompetent people from people who receive calls to people who do home visits to people who claim to be the head of the department. Customer care, it seems, is at their lowest level of priority and does not appear of their agenda at all. We keep calling them almost everyday and get the same answer everyday that somebody will visit in few days.

I have been frustrated, disgusted and saddened to see a reputed company having such a rotten service center with rotten level talent recruited all over their service center. IT IS ABSOLUTLY ROTTEN and DISGUSTING service that I have never received in my life anywhere in the world.

It seems that they are waiting for the warranty period to expire to milk some more money from us. Sounds like a scam going on here.

Hopefully this complain will draw some attention. If not then I would strongly urge people to think 10 times before buying a LG product.
